1. Requirements to include support under Section 508 of the Americans With Disabilities Act has been removed. This change impacts the following DTD structures:
1. The entity declaration for §ion508; has been removed.
2. Reference to the §ion508; entity in the following elements has been removed:
1. authent
2. back
3. da2028
4. graphic
5. icon-set
6. symbol
3. The elements <disable.long> and <disable.short> allowing textual support for Section 508 have been deleted.
2. Modified the parts list <pl> element to support two functions defined in the standard, but omitted previously from the DTD. These are bulk items and a second option for entering kit data.
1. Added <bulkitemlist> and <kitlist> elements as options in the <pl> content model.
2. Added the content models for <bulkitemlist> and <kitlist> to the DTD.
3. Added support for on board spares list in the COEI as provided in the standard.
4. Modified the controls and indicators row <ctrlindrow> to allow more than a single function to be described for any single control or indicator (i.e, a system with multiple modes of operation may have different functions for various controls and indicators in each mode of operation).
5. Changed the <figitemno> to <callout> in the <kititem> to improve the ability to provide links. Deleted the element <figitemno> as it is no longer used.
6. Expanded the location where the ESD (and by default HCP) markings may be used. ESD may now appear on several higher level elements including
1. maintwp
2. gen.maintwp
3. maintsk
7. Removed <dwgno> from <nsnindxrow>, <pnindxrow>, and <refdesindxrow>. The drawing reference can be determined through the REQUIRED “assocfig” attribute in the <callout>.
8. Changed the <pmcsstep#> (1 to 4) models to allow only a single paragraph or special paragraph per step. This change corresponds to the change made to regular step models in the initial release of the DTD.
